Youth Ministry
The mission of Youth Ministry is to provide growth and development of the church’s ministry with adolescents, while empowering young people to live as disciples of Jesus Christ in our world today. In addition, we strive to draw young people to responsible participation in the life, mission, and work of the Catholic faith community, while fostering the total personal and spiritual growth of each young person.

Young Adult Ministry
The mission of the Diocesan Office of Young Adult Ministry is to provide Catholic women and men the support and resources needed for ongoing spiritual growth and greater participation in the work of the Church. Our goals are focused on the developmental tasks of young adulthood (age 18-40 years): personal identity, relationships, the meaning of work, and spiritual life.
We take our direction from the Pastoral Plan of the U.S. Catholic Bishops: “Sons and Daughters of the Light” (1996):
“We know that your talents and those of other young adults can enrich the Church and can be a sign of God’s presence in society. We invite you to share them with us and to become part of a welcoming community for other young adults as well. We promise to walk with you and with all people who love life. In doing this you will be sons and daughters of the light- a light of hope for the Church, for our country, and for all humanity!”
We provide programming for young adults that will help them connect with:
Jesus Christ
The Church
The mission of the Church
A community of peers
We also provide support to pastors, parish young adult ministers and young adult groups.
