Bishop Seitz statement of gratitude to brother bishops who stand with Annunciation House
The Most Rev. Mark J. Seitz, Bishop of El Paso takes the opportunity to thank his brother bishops for their statements of support for the Annunciation house.
“I would like to take this opportunity extend my deepest gratitude to my brother bishops of the Texas Conference of Catholic Bishops, the California Conference of Catholic Bishops, Bishop Kevin C. Rhoades of Fort Wayne-South Bend, Chairman of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Committee for Religious Liberty, and Bishop Jose Guadalupe Torres-Campos of Ciudad Juarez for their unwavering support and solidarity of the Annunciation House.”
“The Annunciation House has long been a symbol of welcome and hospitality for those seeking refuge, and the affirmation from my brother bishops strengthens our resolve to continue this vital mission of answering the Lord’s call to welcome the stranger, feed the hungry and to shelter the homeless. Our Lord Jesus Christ calls us to meet Him face to face in the most vulnerable whom we encounter.”
