Statement from the Diocese of El Paso 
​on the Vatican Declaration “Fiducia Supplicans” 

The declaration by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, released today is one of many theological documents that the Diocese of El Paso will adhere to when exercising pastoral care to the faithful in West Texas. As the document points out there are different kinds of blessings, the type of blessings the document discusses are prayers asking God for that person’s wellbeing and growth. As “Fiducia supplicans” states, quoting Pope Francis, “This world needs blessings, and we can give blessings and receive blessings. The Father loves us, and the only thing that remains for us is the joy of blessing Him, and the joy of thanking Him, and of learning from Him to bless.”

DECLARACIÓN DE LA DIÓCESIS DE EL PASO 
SOBRE LA DECLARACIÓN VATICANA "FIDUCIA SUPLICANTE"

La declaración del Dicasterio para la Doctrina de la Fe, hecha pública hoy, es uno de los muchos documentos teológicos a los que la Diócesis de El Paso se adherirá a la hora de ejercer la atención pastoral a los fieles del oeste de Texas. Como señala el documento hay diferentes tipos de bendiciones, el tipo de bendiciones que el documento discute son las oraciones pidiendo a Dios por el bienestar y el crecimiento de esa persona. Como afirma "Fiducia supplicans", citando al Papa Francisco, "Este mundo necesita bendiciones, y nosotros podemos dar bendiciones y recibir bendiciones. El Padre nos ama, y lo único que nos queda es la alegría de bendecirle, y la alegría de darle gracias, y de aprender de Él a bendecir."
