JOB DESCRIPTION Title: Housekeeper FLSA STATUS: Non Exempt Grade: 1 Step: __1____ Job Summary: Provides cleaning services for Casitas of retired priests. Supervisor: Human Resources Director/Chancellor Duties & Responsibilities: 1.Cleans and maintains specific areas of casitas of retired priests. 2.Cleans inside by dusting, sweeping, mopping, waxing, and vacuuming. Develops cleaning schedule to assure casitas are maintained in an orderly fashion. 3.Requests supplies for household maintenance from the Human Resources office. 4.Participates in Staff Retreats and Staff Meetings when required. Qualifications: 1.Comprehensive knowledge of modern housekeeping practices. 2.Knowledge, skills and experience in handling household equipment and tools. 3.One year of work experience in housekeeping. 4.Ability to work with and appropriately handle confidential information. 5.Ability to deal with the public in a professional, courteous and tactful manner. 6.Ability to read directions and safety warnings. Working Conditions: 1.Schedule of hours, Monday thru Friday, between 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. incumbent on the schedule of the retired priests. 2.Prior Management approval on overtime is required. 3.Management may request overtime with pay after regular hours and on weekends based on Catholic Properties’ activities. To supervise graduate school interns from accredited schools of social work. 10. To supervise the Secretary on financial and statistical reporting functions. 11. To supervise and evaluate all counseling staff. 12. Prepare budgets and presentations for the United Way and the Foundation for the Diocese of El Paso. 13. Provide public relations and educational presentations for parishes, agencies, and institutions requesting presentations on various types of mental health and social issues. 14. Provide and conduct investigations of sexual misconduct for the Pastoral Response Committee and submit Letters of Determination of regarding the investigation outcome. 15. Serve on the Review Board for the Diocese of El Paso. 16. To contract an independent audit of the ministry’s finances on an annual basis and provide the Board of Directors with the results of the audit. 17. To provide the Board of Directors and the Diocese of El Paso with an annual report that accounts for the activities and services rendered during the fiscal year. 18. To maintain a Texas Social Worker License by taking the required Continuation Units of Education by attending workshops and conferences, including 3 hours in Ethics, as prescribed by the Texas State Board of Social Worker Examiners. 19. To attend Field Exchange Fairs to recruit graduate school level interns from the UTEP Graduate School of Social Work. 20. To reach out to accredited graduate schools of social work in Texas or out of state to recruit social worker interns. 21. Performs other related duties as assigned by the Bishop of the Diocese of El Paso.
