Position: Part time lead Clerk Ministry: Tepeyac Institute Grade/Step: FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for setting up classroom(s) with tables, chairs and necessary supplies. Take care of attendance and report to office daily activity. Having items ready for classroom clerks before they start assisting classes. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 1.Answering phones from 1:00-4:00 p.m. 2.Assists class clerks in classrooms as needed 3.Will go to other locations as needed. 4.Print, scan and file evaluations 5.Prepare carts with equipment for clerks 6.Input attendance in file-maker 7.Reports any irregularities to supervisor. 8.Responsible for ensuring that computer equipment is returned to the Tepeyac office. 9.Assists presenters by providing class handouts, photocopying, and other items upon request. 10.Turns on and sets up equipment prior to class: camera settings, VCR, mats and other equipment so that it is ready to use before courses begin. (will not be doing) 11.Tests equipment in advance of use to assure that equipment is ready for use before courses begin. 12.Other duties as assigned 13.Participates on Employee Retreats Qualifications: 1.High school graduate or GED 2.Knowledge, skills and experience in personal computers and word processing (i.e., WINDOWS, ACCESS) 3.Ability to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with students, teachers and helpers. 4.Ability to compose correspondence and reports with accuracy and proper format. 5.Ability to lift more than 10 lbs (tables chairs, and equipment) 6.Ability to utilize decision-making skills 7.Ability to follow directions 8.Must have transportation to commute to other classroom locations 9.Bilingual English/ Spanish. 10.Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions: Schedule a. All programs with evening and Saturday classes. Mon-Thurs 1:00 pm – 9 pm Saturday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm Other when no class are going at night schedule will be from 9 to 5 Monday thru Friday. Schedule a. All programs with evening and Saturday classes. Mon-Thurs 1:00 pm – 9 pm w/one-hour lunch. Saturday, 7:30 am – 3:30 w/one-hour. Schedule may change in accordance to the needs of Tepeyac Institute.
