This community started in 1951 as a mission of St. Joseph's Church to serve Catholics in the central Northeast area of the city of El Paso, and was established as a parish of the local church the following year. Active members range from 400 to 800 families from retired military to Mexican immigrants. The community celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2002.
