The Diocesan Office of Family Life Ministry encourages and empowers parish ministers to strengthen and support the many kinds of families from the community by providing training and resources dealing with current family issues while promoting healthy  Christian marriages and families through creative partnerships between church and family. 

Walk for Life Rally at EL Paso High School Jones Stadium

Our annual prolife ecumenical prayer service begins with Praise & Worship at 1:00 p.m. at El Paso High Stadium on January 22, 2012. Bishop Armando X. Ochoa will host the annual event. We will have two guest speakers Fr. Rafael Garcia from the Archdiocese of Santa Fe and Rev. Bill Francis, Associate Rector of St. Clément’s Anglican Church. Our youth and families will celebrate Mass with Bishop Ochoa. Each year we come together on the anniversary of the Supreme Court decision in Roe vs. Wade to reflect on diverse life issues.

WORLD MARRIAGE DAY 2012

World Marriage Day will be observed in the Diocese of El Paso on February 12, 2012 with a special Mass for couples at 3:00 pm at St. Patrick Cathedral celebrated by Fr. Richard Matty.  It will be followed by a reception afterwards at the Cathedral High School gym.  Couples celebrating this day will receive recognition from the Family Life Office with a special recognition for the couple sharing the longest years married from Bishop Ochoa. All couples are invited to attend the Mass which will include a renewal of vows.

Couples are encouraged to pre-register at their parish or at the Marriage & Family Life Office. Please contact Donna at 872-8401.
