Groundbreaking for this parish was on October 16, 1916 and December 25, Bishop Anthony Schuler blessed St. Joseph. Fr. Maloney celebrate the first mass, a table for the altar and the tabernacle was contrived of card-board and linen cloth. Fr. Joseph Hermoso has served at St. Joseph since june 15, 1995
