The Construction for this parish started on July 7 1929. In 1935 the franciscans arrive in El Paso form the province of San Pedro and San San Pablo, Michoacan, Mexico. they were welcomed by the first Bishop of El Paso Diocese, Most Rev. Anthony J. Schuler, S.J.D.D. This parish is currently served by Fr. Martin Arriaga, O.F.M., and assistants Fr. Hugo Cordova, O.F.M., and Fr. Ricardo Rodriguez, O.F.M.
