Established in 1683. Santa Teresa has four missions Sacred Hart, Shafter; Lajitas mission, Lajitas; San Jose del Polvo, Redford; and Nuestra Señora de la Paz, Candelaria. Santa Teresa has several ministries for the spiritual growth of this active community. The Franciscan order has been present in this parish since 1990, it is currently served by Franciscan Fathers Lazaro Gonzalez from Mexico and Francisco Javier Lopez from Jalisco
